MEET THE TEAM

MISS ELISE

Dance Teacher, Co-Owner

Elise trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern dance for over 20 years at The Annette Burley School of Dancing. She has completed BATD examinations to the highest level in all of these styles and is now a qualified BBO dance teacher.

In 2019, she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre, gained her PGCE in Dance Teaching in 2022, and is currently studying towards a Masters in Choreography. Alongside this, Elise performs as a freelance professional dancer and teaches dance and Musical Theatre.

Elise’s specialises in Ballet dance, and her favourite styles to perform are Jazz and Musical Theatre. She loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for these styles with her students, and strives to challenge them to improve both their technique and performance skills in the fun and supportive environment of AB School of Dance. 

MISS ELINOR

Dance Teacher, Co-Owner

Elinor danced at the Annette Burley School of Dancing for 22 years. She gained qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern to the highest BATD level. She also has a diploma in Musical Theatre Vocals & Acting with the London College of Music.

She led on teaching and choreography working with beginner and experienced dancers whilst gaining her BA Hons and Masters degrees. Elinor has had numerous lead roles in musicals and performs with Hessle Theatre Company. She is also a freelance professional performer and dance teacher.

Elinor believes that fun is the key to everything. Her aims when teaching are to create a safe, positive space for anyone to express themselves and their joy for dancing, while teaching techniques needed to equip the students as performers and dancers, whatever they choose to do. Elinor specialises in Musical Theatre and Jazz. She loves the chance for expression particularly when performed in large groups, creating an energy that is hard to find anywhere else.

MISS HOLLY

Dance Teacher, Co-Owner & Safeguarding Officer

Holly trained and took all of her BATD examinations in Jazz, Ballet, Tap & Modern at the Annette Burley School of Dancing. Since graduating with a First Class BA Honours degree in Musical Theatre and a Masters in Choreography at Distinction, she has created numerous professional dance projects in Hull as a freelance choreographer and dance artist.

Holly teaches a range of ages and abilities leading with enjoyment as her primary teaching principle. She is focused on delivering the important foundations of dance through nurturing pupils passion and confidence in and out of class.

She specialises in Contemporary dance in both her performance and teaching career. Holly loves the freedom and creativity of the style as it encourages dancers to explore the ways their body can move, that go beyond the realms of the more traditional styles. She is excited to share this with her pupils and work collaboratively with their creative ideas.

MISS LUCY

Dance Teacher

Lucy trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Commercial at the Northern Academy of Performing Arts from a young age and has since gained her BA Honours degree from the Arden School of Theatre in 2024. She now teaches at AB alongside dancing professionally at events around Hull, Leeds and Manchester.

Lucy is a trained Figure skater, aerialist and fire performer. 

Lucy has a love for the classical and technique based styles like ballet and jazz but now specialises in Heels and Commercial dance. She found a passion for the way the styles allow for self expression in class and performance. 

"I love the way the AB team work together, they provide a safe and fun environment for students to unwind, which I believe is very important. I look forwards to taking on my own classes at AB where I will encourage students to step out of their comfort zones to try new styles that improve their self confidence and range".
